We've all had something happen to us that changes our outlook on life. Our story doesn’t start in a bakery — it begins in a law office, in the middle of a life that was carefully planned but suddenly rerouted. For years, I worked toward becoming a paralegal, pouring my energy and heart into building a career. But everything changed when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The life my husband and I envisioned seemed to crumble, piece by piece.

Then, in what felt like a cascade of heartbreaks and life changes, navigating serious health concerns with our daughter, the emotional whirlwind of our son getting married, and the bittersweet pride of sending our youngest daughter off to college and lastly, the loss of my parents and brother. Through it all, I struggled with a constant feeling that I just wasn’t enough — that maybe I had lost my purpose.

But something beautiful began to rise from the chaos: the kitchen became my sanctuary. Baking had always brought me peace, but now it brought me something more — a sense of direction, a flicker of hope. I started experimenting with flavors, textures, and recipes, channeling my emotions into each batch. Soon, cookies became more than a comfort — they became a calling.

With the unwavering support of my husband and the encouragement of my family, I decided to take a leap of faith. That leap became Forget Me Not Cookies, a small home bakery creating gourmet cookies that are as rich in flavor as they are in story. Each cookie is inspired by the strength, sweetness, and resilience it takes to keep moving forward — no matter what life throws your way.
